VIRTUAL COMPASSION FATIGUE SYMPOSIUM
Keynote Speaker: Elaine K Sanchez
Elaine Sanchez is the author of the unflinchingly honest and surprisingly funny book, Letters from Madelyn, Chronicles of a Caregiver. She is the co-founder of CaregiverHelp.com, an online support program for family and professional caregivers. Together with her husband, Dr. Alex Sanchez, Elaine has created several online continuing education courses for nurses, long-term care administrators, and mental health professionals. Before COVID-19, she traveled around the country delivering keynotes and breakout sessions at healthcare and caregiving conferences. When all of her conferences for 2020 canceled, Elaine built an in-home production studio and transitioned to doing live, virtual events. The learning curve has been very, very steep, but with the help of a great tech team, she is now delivering online presentations with the same energy, compassion, and humor she previously brought to the stage.
